Celebrating the Season of Miracles

We had a great holiday and the kids were so excited about everything that goes along with it, lights, decorations, gifts, new clothes and spendingtime with friends and family! Derek had is little heart set on a motorcycle but I don’t think he is quite ready for one at 4 years old so he got a battery operated Black & Decker leaf blower and a Kiddie workbench. Monet really wanted Dora this year so she got 2 Dora dolls as well as dance clothes, dress up clothes and Play-Doh. So far the sharing seems to be happening and for the most part there is peace around here.

I never mailed our letter or card this year AGAIN! I just finished my last class before starting the nursing program, which I hope I will start August 2009 on a fast track 16 month program. Luckily we have been fairly healthy, the kids are “NORMAL,” Steve is working as hard as ever and I am filling mommy shoes as best as I can.

We hope you saw many miracles this year and that many more will present themselves to you in 2009.

‘Tis the Season

So we put away the Thanksgiving leftovers last week and had a quiet day with family. We are very thankful for the good things we have in our life, so many don’t get to experience the bounty we have been given. We started our holiday shopping. We have decorated our house inside and out. Derek & Monet have really jumped in and wanted to help. This year is different than any of the others, they know about Santa and gifts so there is a little more electricity in the air surrounding this holiday season. Steve started a new tradition with the kids, every year they get to pick out 1 new ornament for the tree and this year’s ornaments really reflect their interests and personalities. Here are some pictures of us trimming the tree.
